Safety, Security and Health at work - those have been the topics of the exhibition A+A, which took place from Nov. 3rd - Nov. 6th 2009.
At this years A+A Show in Düsseldorf/Germany Lauffenmühle presented a complete new product range for workwear: ULTIMATE fabric featuring CORDURA® brand fabric technology from Lauffenmühle sets a new standard for protection, durability and comfort. The properties of Ultimate fabrics are really exceptional as the wear-life of the new Ultimate fabric is enhanced by the excellent abrasion resistance. And that’s not all - Ultimate fabric is flame retardant and offers protection against molten metal splash and electrical arc. The fabric can also be produced to meet anti-static standards.
Furthermore Lauffenmühle did show a whole bunch of new fabrics in its successful productline Relax: elastic articles being produced with the XLA-fibre by Dow to be used for work- and protectivewear-garments with a phantastic technical performance, of course suitable for industrial washing. With a good 20 % stretch, Relax offers long-lasting elasticity and thus optimum wearing comfort throughout its entire lifespan. The very good rebound properties of Relax – with a permanent stretch of less than 5 % – ensure that the fit is maintained and the garment looks good in the long run. Very interesting new constructions, such as piqué, ripstop, fil-a-fil, as well as elastic denims with XLA by Dow have been launched.
There was also shown a new elastic article of the product line Warntec, meeting EN 471 – High Visibility: a maximum of wearer comfort for those who have to move a lot while working in physically hard jobs.
New articles of Lauffenmühle in its productline Youngster have been launched too: Besides classic blended fabrics,Youngster makes use of the original work wear fabric, as is the trend these days: denim and corduroy! These new fabrics are not only extremely hard-wearing but also contemporary. To give the greatest amount of wearing comfort to the user, the Youngster product line does include even more elastic fabrics.
An ablolute innovation within our productline Youngster is the article Doubleface: Both of its surfaces can be worked - which allows a multiplicity of scopes for ready-made clothing.
Further Highlights of Lauffenmühle have been revised versions of the coloured woven line Rebecca le Chef with new colours and dessins as well as a huge enlargement of our colour-range within the productline Classic. Moreover very nice shades of pastel and a brillant black are now available for our tencel blended articles.
