ANTISTATIC & MANIFOLD

In many workplaces, both, people and sensible techniques shall be protected against electrostatic discharge. Dungarees made of Startec-fabric by Lauffenmühle are offering this protection. With Startec, developed by Lauffenmühle, there are three antistatic types, each of them with different complementary use, as well as the fabric E-Care protecting from electrosmog.

CLEANTEC & BEING FREE OF FLEECES

Cleantec, manufactured of polyester-filament and carbon, has been developed for applications where there is the requirement that besides antistatic function, fabrics shall be free of fleece. This is the situation in many fields of car manufacturing industry or in fields where work shall be performed with paints or lacquers, where Cleantec of Lauffenmühle is highly appreciated.

E-CARE & PROTECTION FROM ELECTROSMOG

E-Care-fabrics have been developed by Lauffenmühle in order to protect from electrosmog. E-Care is efficiently screening electromagnetic waves by an interwoven grid of silverized metal yarn mainly in the domain of high frequency.

STARTEC & EXPLOSION-PROOF

Startec-fabrics consist of a polyester-cotton-blend, which offer an extremely law surface resistance by the interwoven metallic yarn grid. Startec offers an overall protection where there is a risk of explosion by gas development and an intrinsically safe environment shall be produced, e.g. when working in the area of pumping stations or cleaning oil tanks.

STARTEC CARBON & PROTECTION AGAINST SHORT CIRCUITS

The polyester-cotton-blend of this fabric being pervaded by a carbonic grid in order to exclude the risk of short circuit within sensible application fields by loosened metal fibres. This is a very important requirement to be met e.g. in electric industry, in particular where working with very sensible electronic components.

QUALITY & NORMS

Startec-fabrics of Lauffenmühle comply with the requirements of EN 1149 and the Norm IEC 1340-5-1 concerning ESD-protective cloths. They protect from damages to human life and material by a proven antistatic effect. E-Care fabrics are certified by independent tests showing a superexcellent screening ability : In case of a tension of 500MHz, the screening effect shown is abt. 25dB, in case of tension of 3GHz, the screening effect shown is abt. 15dB.

COMFORTABILITY & LONG LIFE

The union fabric from polyester and cotton with interwoven grids of electrically conductor yarns is promising not only for protection, but offers a high level of wearing comfort. The fabric is low-maintenance and – due to polyester-component – the cloth is maintaining its top-form even after the 50th industrial washing, too.
